First 7 Minutes

of a meeting are typically lost to AV troubleshooting in rooms with consumer‑grade or poorly integrated systems.

₹0

is the productive value of a boardroom presentation that fails mid‑slide because the display didn't switch inputs or the mic wasn't configured.

Professional AV is not about premium equipment. It is about systems that work the first time, every time — without a technician in the room. Layerix designs and installs AV infrastructure that your teams use confidently from day one, and that your IT team can manage without specialist knowledge.

End‑to‑End AV Process

1

Site Survey & Requirement Gathering

We visit every room, measure the space, assess ambient light and acoustics, document viewing distances, and understand how the room is used — before recommending any equipment.

2

AV Design & Equipment Selection

Display size, camera field of view, microphone coverage pattern, speaker placement, and cable routing — all documented in a room design before any hardware is ordered.

3

Infrastructure Preparation

Conduit, cable runs, back boxes, power outlets, and network drops — coordinated with your civil and IT teams before installation day.

4

Installation & Mounting

100% in‑house team. Displays, cameras, mics, speakers, and control systems — mounted, dressed, and cabled cleanly.

5

AV Rack & Control Configuration

Amplifiers, switchers, DSPs, and control processors configured and integrated — every source routed to every destination.

6

Platform Integration

Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, Google Meet, or any UC platform — registered, tested, and ready for your first call.

7

Calibration & Testing

Display calibration, microphone sensitivity, speaker EQ, camera framing, and echo cancellation — tuned before handover.

8

User Training & Handover

Every room user trained. Admin documentation delivered. IT team briefed on management.

Why Layerix

📐

Design First

Room layout, viewing angles, and acoustic treatment are planned before equipment is specified — not after.

Layerix handles the IT network and the AV system from the same team — QoS, VLANs, and AV over IP all configured cohesively.

🔧

Calibrated, Not Just Connected

Every display, mic, speaker, and camera is calibrated to the room — not left at factory default.

📋

Full Documentation

Equipment list, cable schedule, IP addresses, control system code, and admin credentials — all delivered at handover.

🔄

AMC & Ongoing Support

Firmware updates, periodic calibration checks, and fault response under annual maintenance contract.

Client Success Stories

Financial ServicesMumbai

Challenge: Executive boardroom had unreliable AV — every meeting required an IT technician to connect laptops and switch sources.

Solution: Installed Crestron control system, 86" commercial display, ceiling mic array, Shure speakers, and Zoom Rooms certification.

Outcome: Zero IT support calls in 8 months. Meetings start in under 30 seconds. Board members now lead meetings independently.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you supply the AV equipment or only install?
Both. Layerix supplies and installs, or installs hardware you have already procured. We work with Sony, LG, Samsung, Barco, Crestron, Extron, Biamp, Shure, Poly, Logitech, and Yealink — and we recommend the right equipment for your room and budget.
What is the difference between a consumer TV and a commercial display?
A consumer TV is designed for 4–6 hours of daily use. A commercial display is rated for 16–24 hours of continuous operation, has a higher peak brightness for ambient light environments, supports remote management, and carries a warranty appropriate for business use. Layerix specifies commercial‑grade displays for all corporate, hospitality, and public‑facing installations.
Can you integrate with Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or Google Meet?
Yes. We configure and certify rooms for Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, and Google Meet hardware — using certified camera, microphone, and compute bar combinations. Every room is registered to your tenant and tested with real calls before handover.
What is AV over IP and do we need it?
AV over IP distributes audio and video signals over your existing Ethernet network — eliminating the need for dedicated HDMI, DVI, or SDI cable runs between rooms. It is the right choice for large buildings, multi‑room distribution, or environments where traditional cabling is impractical. For single rooms, traditional cabling is simpler and lower cost.
What is a DSP and why do conference rooms need one?
A Digital Signal Processor (DSP) manages all audio in a conference room — mixing microphone inputs, applying echo cancellation, noise suppression, and equalisation, and routing audio to speakers and the codec. Without a DSP, conference room audio is typically poor — remote participants hear echo, room noise, and clipping. Layerix specifies and configures a DSP for every conference room deployment above a basic huddle space.
How do you handle cable management in a boardroom installation?
All cable runs are concealed in conduit, trunking, or behind walls and ceilings wherever possible. Surface‑run cables are dressed in matching cable ducts. Cables at the table are managed through in‑desk cable ports or floor boxes. No cables are left surface‑run without containment — the finish reflects the professionalism of the room.
Can the AV system work without an IT technician in the room?
Yes — that is the design goal. We configure control systems, touch panels, and auto‑switching so that a non‑technical user can walk into a room, press one button, and have the display on, the camera active, and the meeting platform running. Complexity is hidden behind a simple interface.
What is a smart room?
A smart room integrates AV, lighting, climate, and room booking into a single control system. Occupancy sensors can turn on displays and adjust lighting when a meeting starts, and power everything down when the room is vacant. Room booking integration prevents double‑booking and shows live availability on a panel outside the door.
What is a video wall and when should we consider one?
A video wall is a tiled arrangement of commercial displays or LED panels that function as a single large screen. It is appropriate when a single display cannot achieve the required screen size for the viewing distance — typically lobbies, command centres, event spaces, and large auditoriums. Layerix designs and installs video walls from 2×2 to large multi‑panel configurations.
How long does a conference room AV installation take?
A standard conference room (1 display, camera, mics, speakers, codec) takes 1–2 days. A boardroom with multiple displays, ceiling mics, AV rack, and control system takes 3–5 days. We provide a project timeline before work begins.
Can you maintain and service our existing AV systems installed by another company?
Yes. Layerix provides AMC and Break Fix for AV systems regardless of who installed them — provided the equipment is from brands we support and the existing installation is documented or can be surveyed. We assess first, then propose a support scope.
Do you work outside Bengaluru?
Yes. Layerix is operationally active across Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, and Gujarat, with the capability to serve clients across all Indian states.
