Three Phases — Cables First, Security Second, Audio Third

The sequence of a deployment determines its quality. Layerix ran the Incepbio project in three deliberate phases — passive cabling infrastructure first, because the CCTV cameras and PoE switch both depend on it; surveillance and switching second; and the PA system third, after the rack was clean and the network was verified.

915 Metres. Every Port Fluke-Tested. Every Cable Labelled.

Incepbio's own deliverables are built on documentation. So is Layerix's cabling infrastructure. Before a camera was mounted or a switch was racked, 915 metres of CommScope Cat6 UTP cable was pulled through PVC conduit to every drop point — CCTV camera positions, office data outlets, and the rack termination points — with every run numbered at both ends before termination. The 42U and 12U racks went in with cable management before the first patch panel was fitted. Fluke DSX CableAnalyzer test report generated for every port. Pass/fail result per run. Delivered at handover as part of the documentation package.

CommScope Cat6 — 915m, T568B, TIA-568

CommScope Cat6 UTP cable pulled through 50m of PVC conduit to all data outlets, CCTV positions, and rack termination points. Terminated to T568B standard at CommScope keystone connectors and patch panels. At 915m, this is a deployment that needs a plan — not improvisation.

Three CommScope Cat6 24-port loaded patch panels terminated in the racks — all 915m of cable runs landed, dressed, and labelled. Port schedule produced matching outlet labels to patch panel port numbers and switch ports. The document that makes future adds/moves possible without a site resurvey.

42U Full-Height Rack + 12U Wall-Mount Rack

1 × 42U full-height rack (for main distribution — patch panels, PoE switch, NVR) and 1 × 12U wall-mount rack (for PA controller, amplifier, and secondary distribution). Both built with cable management before patch cords were dressed.

Phase 2Prama 4MP CCTV, 16-Channel NVR & TP-Link PoE+ Switch

With the cabling commissioned and racks built, six Prama 4MP IR dome cameras were mounted at coverage positions — entrances, corridors, and workspace zones. Each camera was connected over the CommScope Cat6 drops to the TP-Link SG2428P PoE+ switch, which simultaneously powered all six cameras and provided network connectivity to every wired device. The Prama 16-channel NVR was configured with the 6TB HDD, camera recording schedules set, remote access verified, and the 22" CCTV monitor mounted and connected before the cameras were signed off.

Prama 4MP IR dome cameras installed at entrance, corridor, and workspace positions. 4MP resolution provides significantly more detail than 2MP for identification — relevant for a company whose own clients are regulated life sciences manufacturers. IR illumination for 24×7 operation.

Prama 16-Channel NVR + 6TB HDD

Prama 16-channel NVR rack-mounted in the 42U rack with 6TB HDD fitted and formatted. Recording configured for all 6 cameras — continuous recording with motion-triggered retention priority. 6TB provides extended retention for compliance-grade footage archiving.

22" CCTV Monitor — Wall Mount

Dedicated 22" CCTV monitor mounted at the security viewing position — displays live feeds from all 6 cameras and provides NVR playback access. Wall-mount bracket installed with cable routing concealed.

TP-Link SG2428P — 24xPoE+, 4×1G SFP, VLAN

TP-Link SG2428P installed in the 42U rack powering all CCTV cameras and data devices over PoE. VLAN segmentation configured — CCTV traffic isolated from office LAN. 4×1G SFP uplink ports available for future fiber backbone. PoE power budget verified before sign-off.

Phase 33-Zone PA System, Amplifier, Speakers & Fluke Certification

The final phase deployed Incepbio's 3-zone public address system — PA controller, amplifier, three speakers across announcement zones, 60m of speaker wire, and a backup battery for the PA console. Then the full Fluke DSX CableAnalyzer certification run on all 46 cable runs and ports — pass/fail report per port, delivered in the handover documentation package.

PA controller configured for 3-zone announcement routing — each zone addressable independently for targeted paging or simultaneously for general announcements. Amplifier sized for the 3-speaker load on a 100V line architecture. Rack-mounted in the 12U rack with D-Link 0.5m patch cords for all connections.

Three speakers positioned for even SPL coverage across the three announcement zones. 60m of speaker wire run from the amplifier to each speaker — properly gauged for the 100V line run length to avoid signal loss. Speaker positions confirmed for intelligible announcements before wiring was committed.

Backup Battery for PA Console

Backup battery installed for the PA console — ensures the PA system keeps functioning during a power outage. Under NBC (National Building Code) requirements, PA systems in commercial buildings must continue to function in emergency scenarios. Fluke DSX CableAnalyzer — All 46 Ports Certified

Full Fluke DSX CableAnalyzer run on every Cat6 cable run and port — insertion loss, NEXT, return loss, and propagation delay tested per link. Pass/fail report generated per port. The test reports, port schedule, as-built cable drawing, camera coverage map, PA system wiring diagram, rack layout, IP address scheme, and admin credentials were all delivered at handover.
