Zero Outsourcing — Always

Every system in this deployment — structured cabling, CCTV, biometric access control, WiFi 7, and switching — was designed, installed, configured, and is supported entirely by Layerix Networking Experts' own full-time certified engineers. No subcontractors. No third-party labour. The same team that installed your network answers your support call twelve months later.

About RockED — Where 80,000 Dealership Employees Go to Learn

RockED (The RockED Company Inc.) is a Fort Lauderdale-based performance development platform purpose-built for the automotive industry. Their mobile-first platform is where more than 80,000 dealership employees across 12,000+ dealers go every day — two-minute bite-sized guides in the flow of work, AI virtual coaching before customer conversations, and service performance analytics that connect learning directly to revenue. They are trusted by JD Power, JM&A Group, Dealer Tire, and 37+ industry partners. Over 35,000 industry certifications issued. 15 million+ learning completions.

That's what RockED does for their clients. A company that is in the business of making other people's operations run more effectively takes the same standard seriously when setting up their own. When RockED established their India office in Bengaluru, they needed someone who could handle the complete IT infrastructure — cabling, security cameras, door access, and WiFi — without the usual drama of coordinating five separate vendors, chasing three different support numbers, and wondering which one to call when something doesn't work at 9am before the first stand-up.

That someone was Layerix Networking Experts. One team. Five systems. Everything commissioned before the India team walked in on day one.

US Tech Companies Setting Up India Offices Have Different Expectations — And That's Exactly Right

When a US-headquartered technology company opens an India office, their standard of infrastructure expectation travels with them. They are used to WiFi that just works, cameras that are actually recording, door access that doesn't need someone to manually buzz people in, and a network that doesn't require a support ticket to an unknown vendor every time something needs attention.

The gap between what a US tech company expects and what most Indian IT contractors deliver is real — and it's where Layerix sits. Certified engineers, documented installation, commissioned systems, Fluke-tested cabling, and a support line that answers. Not because it's a premium offering. Because it's the only way Layerix operates.

The Challenge — Five Systems, One Office Opening Date, Zero Tolerance for "We'll Sort It Later"

New office IT deployments have a fixed problem: the opening date doesn't move. When RockED's Bengaluru team was scheduled to start work, the office needed to be fully functional — not "mostly done." That meant all five systems had to be scoped, procured, installed, configured, and tested before day one:

  • WiFi that actually reaches every desk: An office full of software engineers, product managers, and operations staff running video calls, cloud tools, and internal platforms simultaneously needs WiFi 7 — not a consumer router and a prayer. The C-400 WiFi 7 access points with cloud licences were selected specifically for their high-density multi-user performance and the ability to manage the entire wireless network remotely from day one without being on-site.
  • Door access that's not a padlock: A US tech company does not want a manual key system or a guard at the door. They want fingerprint biometric authentication at the main entrance, an EM lock on the single-leaf door, RFID cards for staff, an exit push button, and a biometric attendance log that HR can actually use. The ESSL F22 + EM lock + RFID system delivers all of that. It also means the CISO or IT head in the US can see who entered the India office and when — which matters more than most people mention out loud.
  • CCTV that records, not just streams: Two Prama 2MP turret cameras, a 16-channel NVR, and a 4TB surveillance hard disk — sized for extended retention, not just "we have cameras." When a US headquarters asks for footage from an incident three weeks ago, the answer needs to be "yes, here it is" not "we only keep two days."
  • Structured cabling done once, not twice: CommScope AWG23 Cat6 UTP cable to every drop point, CommScope 24-port loaded patch panel, RJ45 jacks, patch cords, and a cable manager — structured cabling installed correctly the first time so the network doesn't need to be rewired in six months when throughput issues surface.
  • Internet resilience — because a Bengaluru ISP going down cannot stop a US product team from reaching their India engineers: The TP-Link ER7206 multi-WAN load balancer means if the primary ISP goes dark, the backup link takes over automatically. No IT ticket. No downtime. No stand-up cancelled because "the internet is down in Bengaluru."

Layerix scoped all five systems together, planned the installation sequence so cabling went in first and everything else followed in order, and commissioned the full deployment before RockED's India team moved in.

How Layerix Delivered It — Cable First. Then Security. Then Network.

Every system depends on the one before it. You can't power a camera without a cable. You can't connect an AP without a switch port. You can't commission a biometric terminal without a network to register on. Layerix sequenced the RockED deployment in three phases so every subsequent system came online onto a verified, working foundation.

Phase 1CommScope Cat6 Structured Cabling, Patch Panel & Rack Build

Cabling First. Every Drop Point. Before Anything Else Goes In.

The first thing Layerix engineers do on any new office deployment is pull the structured cabling — because once the ceiling tiles are back in, the walls are painted, and the furniture is in place, you don't want to be the person explaining why the cable run needs to go over the top of a meeting room pod. CommScope AWG23 Cat6 UTP cable was pulled to every AP drop point, camera position, patch panel, and LAN outlet — labelled at both ends before termination. The CommScope 24-port loaded patch panel was terminated, dressed, and documented. Cable manager fitted before the first patch cord was run. The rack that every other system plugs into was clean and ready before Phase 2 started.

CommScope AWG23 Cat6 — Every Drop Numbered

Cat6 UTP cable pulled to all AP ceiling drops, CCTV camera positions, and LAN outlet points. Every run numbered with heat-shrink labels at both ends — so the port schedule is accurate and future troubleshooting takes minutes, not a site resurvey.

CommScope 24-Port Loaded Patch Panel — Labelled & Documented

CommScope 24-port loaded patch panel terminated with all incoming cable runs — consistent T568B termination, cable tails dressed and restrained. Port schedule produced: every patch panel port maps to a physical drop location. RockED India IT team can trace any cable without calling anyone.

Phase 2Prama CCTV, 16-Channel NVR & ESSL Biometric Access Control

Secure the Office Before You Open It.

With the cabling commissioned, Phase 2 deployed the security systems. Prama 2MP turret cameras mounted at coverage positions, connected over the Cat6 drops to the TP-Link PoE switch, and registered in the Prama 16-channel NVR. Recording configured. Remote access verified. 4TB HDD with retention schedule set.

Simultaneously, the ESSL F22 biometric terminal was installed at the main entrance, all staff fingerprints enrolled, the EM lock fitted on the single-leaf door, RFID cards issued, and the exit push button wired — with fire alarm release configured so the door fails open if the fire panel triggers. By the end of Phase 2, the office was physically secure before the first employee badge was made.

ESSL F22 Biometric — Time Attendance & Door Access

ESSL F22 fingerprint terminal installed at the main entrance and all staff enrolled. A fingerprint cannot be shared, borrowed, or forgotten — which is exactly why a tech company chooses it over a PIN or a card-only system. Attendance log is digital, timestamped, and accessible remotely.

EM Lock + RFID + Exit Push Button + Fire Release

Electromagnetic door lock fitted, Mifare RFID cards issued to authorised staff, exit push button wired for secure exit. Fire alarm release interface configured — the EM lock fails open when the fire panel activates. Not optional. Layerix fits this on every EM lock installation, regardless of what the client asks.

Prama 2MP Turret Cameras + 16-Ch NVR + 4TB

Prama PT-NC123D3-N 2MP turret cameras mounted at office entrance and key coverage zones. Prama 16-channel NVR configured with 4TB surveillance HDD for extended retention. Continuous recording with motion-detection priority. Remote playback verified before handover.

Camera Coverage Validated Before Sign-Off

Every camera position was reviewed against the coverage requirement before the NVR configuration was finalised. If a camera angle doesn't cover what it should, it gets moved — not accepted as close enough. Coverage validation is part of the Layerix commissioning standard.

Phase 3WiFi 7 APs, TP-Link PoE+ Switch, ER7206 Load Balancer & Full Commissioning

Network Live. WiFi 7 Commissioned. Internet Redundant. Office Ready.

The final phase brought the active network layer online. The TP-Link SG2428P PoE+ managed switch was installed, VLANs configured, and PoE budget verified before a single C-400 WiFi 7 access point was powered on. Then the APs went up — ceiling-mounted at positions planned for the office layout — and joined the cloud management platform. The TP-Link ER7206 multi-WAN load balancer was configured for automatic ISP failover: if the primary connection goes down, the backup link takes over without anyone needing to do anything. Full commissioning documentation produced and handed over. 12×6 support line opened.

C-400 WiFi 7 — Cloud-Managed from Anywhere

WiFi 7 ceiling-mount indoor access points deployed with cloud licences — the entire wireless network is visible and configurable from the cloud portal by RockED's IT team in the US or in Bengaluru. SSID configuration, client visibility, performance analytics, and firmware management all available remotely. No need to be on-site to manage the office WiFi.

TP-Link SG2428P — PoE+ Switch, VLAN Configured

TP-Link SG2428P 24xPoE+ 4×1G SFP managed switch installed and configured with VLAN segmentation: staff WiFi, guest WiFi, CCTV camera traffic, and management network all isolated. PoE budget verified for all connected APs and cameras. 4×1G SFP uplinks available for future fiber integration.

ER7206 Multi-WAN — ISP Failover, No Manual Intervention

TP-Link ER7206 multi-WAN load balancer configured with primary and backup ISP links. Automatic failover tested: primary link disconnected, traffic shifts to backup within seconds, no user disruption. For a team running US stand-ups and product calls over video, this is not optional infrastructure — it's the difference between a minor ISP event and a cancelled morning.

Full Commissioning & 12×6 Support Handover

Complete configuration documentation delivered: network diagram, IP address scheme, VLAN table, WiFi SSID passwords, NVR admin credentials, biometric enrollment summary, RFID card inventory, and rack layout photo. 12×6 support portal access at support.layerixnetworks.com — the same team that built the system is the team that answers.

The Support Question Every US Company Asks About Their India Office Vendor

Every US tech company setting up an India office eventually asks the same question about their local IT vendor: "What happens when something goes wrong and we're not there?"

With most vendors in Bengaluru, the answer is: you call the number on the invoice, reach someone who wasn't involved in the installation, wait for an engineer who has never seen your setup, and hope they figure it out before the next stand-up.

With Layerix: you raise a ticket at support.layerixnetworks.com, or you call +91 72599 12527, and you reach the same certified engineers who installed the system. Not a helpdesk. Not a call centre. Not someone reading from a script. The people who know your office, your rack, your NVR configuration, your WiFi setup — because they built it.

That's what 12×6 support actually means at Layerix. And for a company like RockED whose entire value proposition is making people more effective — they recognise that model when they see it.

What the RockED Engagement Actually Demonstrates About Layerix

A US company trusted by JD Power, JM&A Group, and 12,000+ automotive dealers chose a Bengaluru IT infrastructure company to build their India office network. That's not a decision made by whoever was cheapest or available fastest. It's a decision made by a company that knows how to evaluate technical capability — because evaluating training effectiveness for 80,000+ people is literally what they do for a living.

The five systems Layerix deployed at RockED Bengaluru — WiFi 7, Prama CCTV, ESSL biometric access control, CommScope Cat6 structured cabling, and TP-Link PoE switching with multi-WAN failover — are the same category of infrastructure that Layerix delivers for airports, biopharma campuses, luxury residential towers, and Grade-A commercial buildings. The scale changes. The engineering discipline doesn't.

For IT companies, US-headquartered tech firms with India offices, and fast-growing startups across Bengaluru who want infrastructure that works on day one and keeps working — with an actual support team behind it — Layerix is ready to discuss your requirements.

"Five systems. One team. One opening date. Zero excuses. That's the standard Layerix works to — whether the client is an international airport or a US tech company setting up their first India office."
