About Goodwill Fabrics Private Limited
Goodwill Fabrics Private Limited is a Karnataka-registered fabrics business operating from S.K. Arcade on 19th Main Road in HSR Layout 3rd Sector, Bengaluru β one of the city's most active commercial and residential neighbourhoods. The business operates from a mixed-use workspace handling fabrics sourcing, client interactions, order management, and back-office coordination.
Fabrics businesses of this scale run lean β a small team coordinating with suppliers, buyers, and logistics partners throughout the working day. Every interaction happens over WhatsApp, email, voice calls, and cloud accounting platforms. If the office WiFi drops in the middle of a supplier call or a customer order confirmation, there is no IT department to call. That is the operational reality for a business like Goodwill Fabrics β and it is exactly why they needed a properly engineered WiFi network, not a consumer router from a retail shelf.
Goodwill Fabrics engaged Layerix Networking Experts for a complete WiFi deployment β 4 Γ TP-Link Deco BE25 (BE5000) WiFi 7 mesh units, survey-placed, mesh-configured, and walk-tested across the entire premises. One team. Real WiFi 7. Small business treated with the same engineering discipline as a large office.
Small Business, Real WiFi Engineering β Why Goodwill Fabrics Called Layerix
Most small businesses in Bengaluru buy a WiFi router from a retail store, plug it in, and hope for the best. If the signal is weak in one corner, they buy a repeater. If it's still weak, they buy another. Three years later, the office has four mismatched devices fighting for the same channels and a WiFi network that's unreliable at exactly the moment it matters. That approach works until it doesn't β and then it costs far more to fix than to do properly in the first place.
Layerix Networking Experts treats every deployment the same way β survey first, design second, install third, walk-test fourth, hand over fifth. For Goodwill Fabrics, that meant placing the four Deco BE25 nodes from an actual RF site survey of the premises, not from guessing where the walls probably are. It meant configuring the mesh backhaul properly so devices roam between nodes without dropping. It meant tuning channels for HSR Layout's dense-RF environment. And it meant a walk-test before sign-off β because a WiFi network that hasn't been walked isn't finished. And we don't disappear after installation. Our 12Γ6 support is available to every client we've deployed for β by phone, ticket, or on-site visit.
The Challenge β Reliable Whole-Premises WiFi in a Dense Bengaluru Neighbourhood
HSR Layout is one of Bengaluru's densest commercial and residential zones β every square kilometre has dozens of competing WiFi networks running on the same 2.4GHz and 5GHz channels. In this RF environment, a single consumer router delivers patchy coverage even inside one room, and a poorly-planned mesh network can perform worse than a single router because the nodes fight each other for airtime. Getting reliable WiFi here requires proper survey work and channel planning, not just buying more equipment.
- Coverage across a mixed-use workspace: The Goodwill Fabrics premises has multiple rooms, walls, and furniture zones β the exact physical layout that kills single-router WiFi coverage. A single router would leave dead zones in the far corners. Four survey-placed Deco BE25 nodes provide full coverage of every working area.
- Dense RF interference from neighbouring networks: In HSR Layout 3rd Sector, dozens of nearby offices, homes, cafΓ©s, and co-working spaces broadcast on the same WiFi spectrum. Without channel planning, the office WiFi suffers throughput collapse during peak hours even when signal strength is technically βgoodβ. Layerix tuned the channel plan for the actual RF environment measured on site.
- Mesh backhaul must be configured properly, not left on auto: WiFi 7 mesh with a dedicated 6GHz backhaul delivers excellent performance when configured correctly β but leaves performance on the table when left on defaults. Layerix configured the mesh backhaul, band steering, and roaming parameters so devices hand off between nodes without dropping calls or interrupting file transfers.
- No IT department to manage it after install: The team at Goodwill Fabrics runs the business, not the network. The deployment had to be simple enough that any team member could add a device, and well-documented enough that Layerix could support it remotely under 12Γ6 SLA. Handover included app setup, device credentials, and a single support number.
Layerix responded with a single-scope deployment: survey, four Deco BE25 nodes, mesh configuration, walk-test. One team. Full accountability. 12Γ6 support after handover.
The Scope β Every Node, Every Configuration, Every Tested Zone
The Goodwill Fabrics scope covered a complete small-business WiFi 7 upgrade β survey-driven node placement, 4 Γ TP-Link Deco BE25 mesh units, mesh backhaul configuration, channel tuning, installation, and walk-test validation. All from one in-house Layerix team.
4 Γ TP-Link Deco BE25 (BE5000) WiFi 7 Mesh Nodes β
4 Γ TP-Link Deco BE25 β the BE5000-class WiFi 7 (802.11be) mesh system, tri-band (2.4GHz + 5GHz + 6GHz) with a 2.5Gbps WAN/LAN port on the primary unit. Positioned from an RF site survey of the premises β not from a floor plan. WiFi 7 delivers higher throughput, lower latency, and better handling of many-devices-at-once than WiFi 6, at a price point well-suited to small-business deployment.
Mesh Backhaul Configuration β Seamless Roaming β
Mesh backhaul configured so the 4 nodes communicate efficiently without competing for airtime on the client bands. Band steering enabled β devices that support 5GHz or 6GHz are steered to the faster band automatically. Roaming parameters tuned so mobile devices hand off between nodes without dropping calls, meetings, or downloads. The configuration decisions that make the difference between a mesh that works and a mesh that just barely functions.
Channel Plan β Tuned for HSR Layout Dense-RF β
WiFi channels for all 4 nodes selected based on an RF scan performed on site β mapping which channels neighbouring networks occupy so that the Goodwill Fabrics nodes use the cleanest available spectrum on each band. This is the step that consumer self-installs always skip, and it is the reason most small-business WiFi degrades during peak hours. Channel plan documented at handover so future adjustments can be made without re-surveying.
Installation, Configuration & Commissioning β
Full physical installation of all 4 Deco BE25 units β mounting positions selected for optimal coverage, cable routing kept tidy and serviceable, power delivered cleanly to each node. Firmware updated to latest stable version, network name and password configured to client preference, admin credentials documented, TP-Link Deco app set up on the client's phone for day-to-day visibility and device management.
Miscellaneous Items & Transport β Included β
Installation charges include miscellaneous items β mounting hardware, cable ties, patch cables, any small components required to complete the physical installation β plus transport to and from the HSR Layout site. No hidden extras, no 'that wasn't in the original quote' surprise invoices. One BOQ line covers the complete deployment.
Post-Deployment Walk-Test & Documentation β
After all 4 nodes were online and the mesh was stable, Layerix conducted a full walk-test of the premises β signal strength measured in every room, roaming handoff tested between nodes, throughput verified at the furthest points from each access point. Walk-test results documented in the handover pack. Layerix standard: if the walk-test doesn't pass, nodes move β the office doesn't inherit a coverage problem.
Three Phases β Survey, Install, Walk-Test
Layerix follows the same six-step process on every WiFi deployment: RF survey, design and placement, installation, mesh configuration, walk-test and validation, cloud onboarding and handover. For Goodwill Fabrics, this ran across three clean phases β survey and placement first, Deco BE25 installation second, walk-test and handover third.
Know the Space Before You Place the Nodes
Before any Deco BE25 unit was unboxed, Layerix engineers walked the Goodwill Fabrics premises with an RF survey tool β mapping wall structure, furniture layout, and the surrounding WiFi environment. Node positions for all 4 units were determined from actual signal measurement, not from guessing. The result: placement that covers every working zone with the minimum number of devices, without unnecessary overlap that would degrade performance.
RF Site Survey β Wall, Furniture & Neighbouring AP Map
Physical walk-through with RF survey tooling β mapping internal wall structure, large furniture zones (storage, display), and the surrounding WiFi environment in HSR Layout 3rd Sector. The map identified the parts of the premises where signal would attenuate most, and the channels most occupied by neighbours.
Node Placement Plan β 4 Beacons, Zero Dead Zones
The 4 Deco BE25 nodes positioned from survey output: primary node at the incoming internet point (2.5G WAN port connected to ISP router), three satellite nodes placed to cover the far working zones from the primary. Placement selected to give full coverage with the lowest possible overlap β mesh nodes in a dense-RF environment must be positioned carefully or they compete instead of cooperate.
Mount, Power, Configure β Then Tune, Not Just βConnectβ
Phase 2 covered the physical installation of all 4 Deco BE25 units at their survey-specified positions, followed by full mesh network configuration. This is where Layerix differs from a self-install: the mesh backhaul was configured deliberately, channels were set from the survey data, band steering was enabled, and the whole network was verified per-node before the walk-test began.
Physical Installation β Clean, Serviceable, Positioned Right
All 4 Deco BE25 units mounted at their survey-specified positions β power delivered cleanly, cables routed tidily, primary node connected to the ISP router via the 2.5Gbps WAN port. Installation includes mounting hardware, cable ties, patch cables, and any miscellaneous items required to complete the physical setup β all included in the project scope, no surprise line items.
Mesh Backhaul β Configured, Not Left on Auto
Mesh backhaul configured so nodes communicate over dedicated backhaul where possible β freeing the client bands for user devices. Band steering enabled: devices that support 5GHz or 6GHz are automatically preferred on those bands. Roaming parameters tuned for smooth handoff β devices move between nodes without dropping WhatsApp calls, email, or cloud sync operations.
Channel Plan β Set from the Site Survey RF Map
WiFi channels for all 4 nodes set from the RF scan data collected in Phase 1 β the cleanest available 2.4GHz and 5GHz channels chosen based on what neighbouring networks occupy. 6GHz band configured for WiFi 7 capable devices. This is the tuning that keeps office WiFi stable during HSR Layout peak hours when consumer-router deployments collapse under neighbouring interference.
Firmware, Security & App Setup
All 4 Deco BE25 units updated to the latest stable firmware. Network name and password configured to client preference. WPA3 security enabled where device compatibility permits. Admin credentials documented. TP-Link Deco mobile app set up on the client's phone β giving the team day-to-day visibility into connected devices and the ability to add a new device without calling Layerix for help.
If the Walk-Test Doesn't Pass, the Deployment Isn't Done
Phase 3 walked the entire premises β every room, every corner, every zone the client uses β measuring signal strength and verifying that the 4-node mesh actually delivers the coverage the survey promised. Only after the walk-test passed was the project handed over. Only after handover did the 12Γ6 support line open for Goodwill Fabrics. This is the Layerix standard: no WiFi deployment is signed off until the walk-test proves it works in every working zone.
Full-Premises Walk-Test β Signal, Roaming, Throughput
Complete walk-test of the Goodwill Fabrics premises: signal strength measured in every room, roaming handoff tested by physically moving between zones during a live call, throughput verified at the furthest point from each node. Walk-test results documented in the handover pack. If a zone had under-performed, the affected node would have been repositioned β Layerix standard, not a customer request.
Credentials, Documentation & App Handover
Handover pack delivered to Goodwill Fabrics: router admin credentials, Deco app configuration summary, WiFi network name and password, channel plan documentation, node placement map, and Layerix support contact information. Everything the team needs to operate the network day-to-day, and everything Layerix needs to support it remotely under 12Γ6 SLA.
Client Team Training β 5-Minute Onboarding
The Goodwill Fabrics team was walked through the basics: how to view connected devices in the Deco app, how to add a new device to WiFi, what to do if a node shows offline, and how to reach Layerix support. No separate training documentation β just the essentials delivered in person, at handover, in a few minutes. Because the goal is a network the client can use without needing to think about it.
12Γ6 Post-Deployment Support β Active from Handover
Layerix 12Γ6 support is available to every client after handover: +91 72599 12527, support.layerixnetworks.com, or on-site visit under AMC. Coverage question, node offline, ISP change, new device that won't connect, WiFi password rotation β the same certified team that deployed the network is the team that answers the phone. Small business or large, the support line stays open.
The Outcome β Whole-Premises WiFi 7 That Just Works
When Layerix completed the Goodwill Fabrics deployment, the HSR Layout office had:
- 4 Γ TP-Link Deco BE25 (BE5000) WiFi 7 mesh nodes β survey-placed, mesh-configured, and channel-tuned for the HSR Layout dense-RF environment. Full-premises coverage that actually delivers the WiFi 7 performance the hardware is capable of.
- Zero WiFi dead zones in working areas: every room, every desk, every meeting point covered β validated by walk-test, not claimed by specification. The WiFi 7 deployment works where the team actually works.
- Seamless roaming between nodes: devices move between the 4 mesh nodes without dropping calls, meetings, or file transfers. WhatsApp calls, video conferences, and cloud sync all continue uninterrupted as team members walk through the premises.
- Dense-RF resilience: channel plan tuned from on-site RF survey data β the office WiFi stays stable during HSR Layout peak hours when consumer-router deployments degrade. WiFi that continues to work at 4 PM is worth more than WiFi that peaks at 10 AM.
- 12Γ6 support from handover onwards: the Layerix support line opened at handover and stays open. The team that installed the network answers when Goodwill Fabrics calls.
